Class Benefits

All classes are free of charge, and all attendees will be given free course materials and manuals.

Target Audience

All classes are offered free of charge to technical personnel from public safety, law enforcement, firefighters, state and local government, public utilities, colleges and universities, emergency medical personnel, and other health care providers. Depending on classroom space, consideration will be given to other individuals working within agencies or organizations considered as a part of our nations critical infrastructure.

Course Prerequisites

CDI: Comprehensive Cyberterrorism Defense (CCD)

CCD is an advanced level hands-on course where knowledge and experience is required. Participants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Minimum Prerequisite:  Participants should have a minimum of 2 years experience as a system or network administrator, or should have successfully completed the CDI SENTINEL course, "Cybersecurity: Prevention, Deterrence and Recovery (PDR)."

  • Preferred Prerequisite:  Any experience with penetration testing, plus a minimum of 3 years experience as a system or network administrator.

CDI: Cyberterrorism First Responder (CFR)

CFR is an advanced level hands-on course where knowledge and experience is required. Participants must meet either one of the following criteria:

  • A minimum of two years experience as a system/network administrator or as a cybersecurity professional is required. An intermediate understanding of network concepts, along with general knowledge of computer operating systems, is required.

Cybersecurity: Prevention, Deterrence, and Recovery (PDR)

The CDI SENTINEL PDR course is designed for those who assist or maintain computer and network operations for their organization. Participants must have a solid working knowledge of basic computer and network concepts and functions.

Cybersecurity: Incident Handling and Response (IHR)

The CDI SENTINEL IHR course is designed for technical investigators and first responders with a moderately high level of expertise in the fields of technology, network security, and computer forensics. Participants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Participants must have an advanced knowledge base concerning computer and network concepts and functions as well as experience involving incident handling and computer forensics.

  • Successful completion of the CDI SENTINEL Course, "Cybersecurity: Prevention, Deterrence, and Recovery (PDR)."
